DHD Audio has announced the release of its latest generation firmware, version 10.4, for DHD broadcast audio systems.
“Version 10.4 introduces expanded configuration capabilities and greater control of audio-over-IP across DHD’s one modular platform for broadcast audio,” DHD said in the announcement.
The release is compatible with DX2, RX2, SX2 and TX2 audio mixers, XC3, XD3 and XS3 IP cores, and AES67/Ravenna interfaces.
New features in version 10.4 include flex channels, which allow operators to access additional signals from a pre-assigned input source list rather than the pool of fader channels.
Channel categories allow filtering of the input source list for signals to speed up navigation in complex setups.
Remote mic preamp control can now be adjusted from the console touchscreen, the views app or the control API, DHD said.
DHD has also introduced a license-free control API for AES67/Ravenna interfaces, offering access to stream parameters and settings over HTTPS.
The new routing app joins DHD’s optional app series to provide local or remote control over an IP core’s channel matrix, featuring graphical x/y views, I/O lists and customizable presets.
For XD3 Quad Core devices, DHD now offers optional AI-based audio noise reduction powered by its ai-coustics.
The firmware and new options will be demonstrated at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
