Salem: Press Release Was Bogus

Salem says it’s the victim of a fraudulent press release.
The company, the stock of which is publicly traded, issued a statement Friday (Jan. 7) saying “an unknown source was responsible for issuing a fraudulent press release on Dec. 31.” The release stated that Salem Communications had acquired a radio station in Orlando, Fla.
“The notice, posted on several radio online billboards, is false,” it said.
Radio World did not carry the original “news” item.
