The Society of Broadcast Engineers will hold a class Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PST) focusing on “IP Networking for Broadcast Engineers.”
To be held at NBC Universal Studios in Los Angeles, the course description explains that instructor Wayne Pecena will teach attendees about “TCP/IP-based networking fundamentals in an Ethernet environment.” Pecena also chairs the SBE Education Committee and is the assistant director of educational broadcast services in the Office of Information Technology at Texas A&M University.
The one-day course is $49 for SBE members, and $75 for nonmembers. Members who attend will also earn one SBE recertification credit, under category G.
