At the IBC Show, Broadcast Electronics will feature its AMX Series AM transmitter alongside several other product offerings.
IBC 2026 marks the first major European trade show appearance for BE under its new ownership, led by the Alzana Group. BE said its current product lineup is engineered to meet “the evolving demands of radio broadcasters across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and global markets.”
“IBC has always been where the global broadcast industry comes to see what is next,” BE President Rich Redmond said in a release.
The AMX is the first transmitter built on BE’s proprietary silicon carbide technology. The silicon carbide MOSFET technology — which BE notes has been used in electric vehicle drive systems — brings higher voltage and current capability, reduced capacitance and increased resistance to transient failures that take transmitters offline.
BE’s technology also adds a proprietary safe mode that protects the RF amplifier within approximately one microsecond of a lightning strike or arc event.
“The practical result for broadcasters is a 5 kW transmitter in a single 5 RU chassis at approximately 65 pounds, delivering 86% AC-to-RF efficiency with MDCL standard at up to 6 dB,” BE said.
At IBC, BE will also demonstrate its AudioVault AV-xI automation software, featuring a redesigned interface with a drag-and-drop layout framework supporting up to 18 gadgets on a single screen.
CloudVault, BE’s cloud-based architecture layer within AV-xI, allows for flexibility across on-premises, cloud-hosted, hybrid and edge deployments.
Finally, BE will offer details on its TRE+ integration, providing visual radio and metadata management across RDS, HD Radio, streaming and other multimedia platforms.
