BE Adds 1 kW Version to Its AMX Line

It will exhibit it at the NAB Show New York next week

BE 1 kW AMX transmitter

Broadcast Electronics will introduce a 1 kW addition to its AMX transmitter platform at NAB Show New York.

The AMX line was launched in the spring. It also includes 3 kW and 5 kW versions.

A recipient of the Radio World “Best of Show” Award last spring, the AMX is an AM transmitter platform that the company highlights for efficiency, scalability and modularity as well as simplified maintenance and small footprint.

The transmitters use a 5 RU chassis and support analog, HD Radio or DRM broadcasts. MDCL is provided. They are shippable by UPS or FedEx and are built in Quincy, Ill.

BE says the Silicon Carbide design provides higher efficiency and transient resistance, including a Safe Mode that protects the amplifier within approximately one microsecond of a lightning or arc event. Orban Inside processing is available.

BE will be in booth 456.
