Nautel announced the release of the VX8 and VX10 analog FM transmitters, extending its VX series power range from 150 watts to 10 kW.

The 8 kW and 10 kW analog models will ship in the first quarter of 2027. Nautel will feature the units at the IBC Show in Amsterdam and NAB Show New York in October.

The company stated the models offer radio stations a compact, serviceable and cost-effective option for high-power main, standby and N+1 FM applications.

The modular design separates the transmitter into an exciter/controller, splitter/combiner and two power amplifiers, allowing each assembly to be installed and serviced individually. With power supplies removed, each section weighs 50 pounds or less.

VX platform features include solderless, replaceable PA pallets, front-access washable filters, a direct-to-channel digital exciter, RDS, SNMP and HTML5-based control and instrumentation.

Inputs include built-in audio playback and playlists, alongside Icecast, Shoutcast and HLS streaming inputs that can function as primary or backup audio sources with automatic failover. Optional Orban audio processing is also available.

Each transmitter includes a four-year warranty.
