XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio extended their merger proposal agreement by two months.
The agreement had been set to expire March 1.
The companies have agreed not to exercise their rights to terminate the deal until May 1. The closing of the pending merger remains subject to satisfaction of all applicable conditions, including approval from the DOJ and FCC.
