Sirius and XM said the diversity of comments filed with the FCC about the proposal to merge has persuasively demonstrated that their union is in the public interest.
Among entities supporting the merger, according to the satellite radio companies, are Honda, Crutchfield, Circuit City, the NAACP and League of United Latin American Citizens, American Trucking Associations, National Council of Women’s Organizations, and League of Rural Voters.
The merger also has received the editorial endorsement of The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, LA Times and Washington Times, according to the satcasters.
