Soundcraft Updates Digital Console Line

Soundcraft Updates Digital Console Line

Look for Soundcraft to emphasize its digital broadcast products this spring. It has added to its console lineup the RM1ds, aimed at on-air use. Features include Start and Stop functions for each channel, and front-panel and control menu labeling appropriate for dedicated consoles.
The RM1d products, including the earlier RM1d model, use a digital processing path with assignable input selection from analog mic/line, S/PDIF, TDIF and AES/EBU sources. Both models have dynamics processing and Lexicon effects, cue speaker and dual timers. They can store and recall 128 presets.
The company also is promoting its V3.00 operating software for the RM1d, which includes password lockout, enhanced dynamics section, and new menus for setup, dynamics and Lexicon effects. A variable high-pass filter function is included. The upgraded software is free to RM1d users.
The RM1d and RM1ds also now provide integration with RCS Master Control. Both are available in 6- and 12-fader formats, with optional script tray frames.
