SWR Showcases Illumitron

Systems With Reliability Broadcast Antennas is offering a new IBOC analog/digital version of its Illumitron single-lobe FM antenna.
According to the company, the antenna is designed to improve signal quality and coverage while virtually eliminating radiation and interference problems through its elevation pattern.
SWR says the Illumitron reduces multipath and random signal strength variations in an effort to assure digital and analog coverage of a market area.
The Illumitron antenna family includes single-station and multistation models operating at power levels from 100 W to 100 kW, with optional radomes, deicers and anti-torque brackets. Any Illumitron can be provided for omnidirectional or licensed directional service, with a choice of polarization.
