Danish firm TC Electronic announced that it is hosting a loudness seminar in Dubai.
Held May 10 at the Centre Point Theatre, the event will examine the latest ITU and EBU broadcast loudness standards. The one-day seminar will also include a panel discussion with a global perspective and a Q&A involving all presenters.
Speakers include Florian Camerer, chairman of the EBU PLOUD Group, who will give two one-hour sessions entitled “EBU R128 and ITU-R BS.1770 Explained” and “Implementation Experiences, Tips and Pitfalls.” Hasan Sayed Hasan, vice chairman at Arab HDTV Group (ASBU), will take a look at the “Arab Status and Plans for Implementing Loudness Based Guidelines.”
Other presenters include mastering engineer Bob Katz who will provide two one-hour sessions on “EQ, Dynamics Processing and Mastering Tips” and “Mobile Platforms and iTunes” along with Thomas Lund, Dev. Manager HD for TC Electronic, will present two one-hour sessions on “Loudness and Commercials” and “Global Program Exchange and Multiplatform Delivery.”
