Tim Thorsteinson to Replace Wensinger at Harris Broadcast

The Broadcast Communications Division at Harris has a new president.
Tim Thorsteinson has been president of the Leitch Technology business unit since Harris acquired that company last October. Thorsteinson succeeds Jeremy Wensinger, who is being promoted after two years at Harris Broadcast.
Company CEO Howard Lance said Thorsteinson’s appointment comes as the digital transition accelerates. “He has a proven track record of operational success within the industry and a vision that will keep Harris at the cutting edge of product innovation and customer responsiveness.”
Thorsteinson joined Leitch as president and CEO in late 2003. Harris credits him for leading a financial turnaround and expansion at Leitch. Previously, he was vice president of Grass Valley products for Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions.
Wensinger is taking a senior leadership position within the Harris Government Communications Systems Division. He becomes group president – Integrated Systems
and Services, where he will have responsibility for several business units: National Programs, Civil Programs, Homeland Security Programs, Technical Services, and Maritime Communications Systems.
The changes officially take effect July 1, but leadership transitions begin now.
