Télédiffusion d’Algérie Relies on 2wcom

Algerian national radio extends satellite distribution with FlexDSR technology

In an effort to expand its new infrastructure for audio distribution via satellite, Télédiffusion d’Algérie has made a second order for 2wcom’s FlexDSR receiver.

According to the company, the new units bring “quality transmission with efficient bandwidth consumption,” to the Algerian broadcaster.

FlexDSR02+ and FlexDSR04+ digital satellite receivers support major audio formats and feature automatic program switching, regionalization capabilities, SIRC remote control through satellite and fail-safe dedicated hardware, explains 2wcom.

In addition, it says, both receivers accept inputs from satellite, Internet and synchronous transmission lines.

SD card-based internal memory capacity facilitates additional backup solutions and transmission services, adds the company. Automatic weight balancing of parameters and failover switching to alternative input sources is complemented by audio fading between sources and optional μs-accurate synchronization for FM SFN networks from each of these input sources, the firm concluded.
