Swedish tech company Tonium Laboratories released Pacemaker, a pocket-sized DJ system.
The company says DJs can create mixes of any musical style with Pacemaker, giving them the ability to mix between tracks seamlessly and to produce new sounds.
Pacemaker allows two tracks to be played simultaneously, and the company says it offers the functionality of a professional DJ setup. The software works out the beats per minute of each track, enabling the DJ to learn to match the beats between two tracks and create a DJ mix.
Pacemaker works with both PC and Mac, and supports audio formats such as MP3, WAV, AAC, Ogg Vorbis and FLAC files.
Features include a 120 GB hard drive and Pacemaker Editor, a free downloadable PC- and Mac-compatible computer application that lets the DJ play music and edit and create mixes. The user can download mixes created from Pacemaker or upload mixes to it from the Pacemaker Editor.
Pacemaker also offers users a community platform to share their saved DJ mixes.
