Utah State University in Salt Lake City will use a panel from Jampro Antennas Inc. to consolidate three FM signals of KUER.
Jampro will deliver and install an FM broadband panel antenna, model JAHD Arrowhead Dipole with protective radomes, plus transmission line and required monitoring.
An RCCC Constant Impedance combiner will bring the KUER, KUER-HD2 and KUER-HD3 signals together. The system will be housed above 12,000 feet in what Jampro describes as one of the country’s few remaining manned transmitter sites.
Jampro President Alex Perchevich said the company installed the station’s initial antenna system in 1973. “Periodic upgrades and additions have extended their range and signal quality.”
Jampro delivered its first broadcast system in 1954; the company says approximately 15,000 broadcasters use its products.
