Associated Press Radio has reached an agreement with WarpRadio.com for the licensing of AP audio services to WarpRadio streaming audio affiliates.
More than 350 WarpRadio.com affiliates and their Internet listeners will have access to AP Radio top of the hour newscasts, said Steve Eschbach, chief financial officer at WarpRadio.
“AP will enhance our selling efforts and their sales staff will be able to offer WarpRadio.com’s streaming capabilities along with its content offering,” Eschbach said.
“As this relationship develops, we will be able to offer additional AP programming to our radio station affiliates in addition to the top-of-the-hour news programming.”
WarpRadio hosts an Internet listing of all radio stations in the United States.
“AP is the premier brand in news and information,” said Jim Comstock, chief operating officer for WarpRadio.com. “Bringing AP on board makes our products that much more significant. … This enhances our strategic business plan.”
