WENA Gets Full EAS Fine

Unlike KZBN, above, Puerto Rico station WENA did not get its $8,000 EAS fine reduced.
The FCC said that’s because licensee Southern Broadcasting Corp. did not respond to a Notice of Apparent Liability sent in March. The station in Yauco, Puerto Rico, was fined for not having an EAS encoder/decoder unit installed.
