What Time Does the NAB Floor Open on Day 1? Not When You Think

Show organizers push things back a bit on Monday

Will you be walking the exhibit floor at the NAB Show? Note this small but important schedule change for the first day: The exhibits on Monday April 13 will open an hour later than in the past.

“We think the 10 a.m. start time is a win-win for exhibitors and attendees,” NAB spokeswoman Ann Marie Cumming told Radio World.

“Exhibitors get an extra hour to set up on Monday morning, and attendees can go to the opening event and still make it over to the show floor in time for the opening of the doors.”

She said there will be live entertainment starting at 9:30 for those who arrive early.

Tuesday and Wednesday floor hours remain 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Thursday 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Another change of note to radio attendees: The layout of the radio/audio section is different this year, partly overlapping last year’s footprint but with more radio booths also to be found in the section of the Central Hall “down the steps,” i.e. to the east. Radio World/NewBay Media’s own booth will be there, C6648.

You can find a map of radio/audio booths in the Radio World Product Preview Pocket Guide (distributed with the March 25 issue, or pick up a copy in booth C6648).
