Wireless Carrier Gets Into the Music Distribution Act Via Ringtones

Cingular Wireless will debut music singles as cell phone “ringtones” on its network before the songs make their radio debut, the company said this week.
Reuters reports the company said it launched the “Cingular Sounds” program with the Coldplay track “Speed of Sound.”
