Red Wolf acquires Davidson stations

WSJM(AM/FM), a Mid-West Family Broadcast station, purchased the five Schurz Communications radio properties located in the South Bend, Ind. Area. The four radio stations and one translator are: WHFB(FM), WNSN(FM), WZOC(FM), WSBT(AM) and W241AD. The price was $5.5 million. Bob Heymann of Media Services Group in Chicago was the broker.

In the Northeast, regional group owner Red Wolf Broadcasting has acquired four radio stations from Davidson Media. They are WACM(AM) and WSPR(AM) in Springfield, Mass.; WKKB(FM) in Providence, R.I.; and WXCT(AM) in Hartford, Conn. Red Wolf has several Spanish-language stations and this acquisition adds to that number. Dick Foreman was the broker for the deal.

In Arkansas, Media Services Group arranged a pair of deals. High Plains Radio Network now owns KYMT(FM), KJMT(FM) and KCMC(FM) in the Mountain Home area, all previously owned by Malvern Entertainment Corp. and Gray Media Corp. The price was $820,000 and the broker was Bill Cate.

Perry Broadcasting purchased KFMD(AM), Bethel Heights, and K287AN, a translator near Fayetteville, from Don Campbell for $400,000. Bill Whitley was the broker.

Whitley also brokered a deal between Way Media and the Research Educational Foundation for KVRK(FM) in Sanger, Texas. Way paid $2 million for the station.
