WW1 Launches Live Concert Series

Ninety minutes of rock and roll will be the order of the day on Jan. 8, 2001, as Westwood One launches “Absolutely Live,” a live concert series featuring established and emerging artists.
Korn, Orgy and Live will kick off the series that day. Future broadcasts of “Absolutely Live” are scheduled to include performances from Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots and Beck.
“Absolutely Live” is targeted at active rock, alternative rock and AOR affiliates.
Meantime, Westwood One and VH1 Radio Network are offering special episodes of “Behind The Music” to hot AC and classic rock affiliates. VH1 has customized hour-long episodes of the program, which features an inside look into the personal lives of musical artists and groups.
Upcoming “Behind The Music” programs include classic rock artists Tom Petty, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Heart; and hot AC artists Ricky Martin, Alanis Morissette, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Barenaked Ladies.
