XM Canada to Lose President/COO

Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings said that Stephen Tapp, president and chief operating officer of XM Canada, will leave the company.

Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings said that Stephen Tapp, president and chief operating officer of XM Canada, will leave the company.

Tapp’s last day would be June 15; he’s pursing “other opportunities,” according to the announcement.

John Bitove will continue his operational leadership as CEO of Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings.

In a statement on the XM Canada Web site, it says the proposed merger between the two satellite radio companies would have no immediate effect on Canadian subscribers, stating that “XM Canada is an independent Canadian owned company that holds the exclusive license to provide XM satellite radio services in Canada.”
