Two years ago at CES, RW Online reported that XM Satellite Radio had featured one of its radios installed on a motorcycle. Now, XM and Harley-Davidson say the 2006 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra is the first motorcycle to come standard with an XM radio, part of the Harmon-Kardon audio system.
XM can also be added to the system on other 2006 models and includes three months of service. The Harmon-Kardon system is AM/FM/XM-ready/ WB/CD-MP3. An optional 40-watt-per-channel amplifier is available, as is a rider-to-passenger intercom.
In-showroom XM kiosks are planned at Harley-Davidson dealers.
