XM Takes Former Infinity Programmer

The former VP of adult top 40/hot AC programming at Infinity is joining XM as senior VP of music programming, a new position. At Infinity, Jon Zellner oversaw Adult Top 40/Hot AC stations in 17 cities, including San Francisco, Dallas, San Jose, Orlando, and Denver. During his 18-year radio industry career, Zellner has served as a senior programming executive, operations manager, music director, and on-air talent.
“The radio industry of today is very different than when I started in the business 18 years ago,” Zellner stated.
“While I think that there will always be room for local radio, XM has introduced technology and an innovative approach to music that are changing the way that people use our medium.”
