The new Yamaha RX-V863, one of five digital home theater receivers the company has released this year, is HD Radio-ready.
It has a list price of just under $1,000; the unit expands HD Radio technology’s presence in the home AV marketplace.
Users can view TV or DVS, or listen to terrestrial or satellite radio, CDs and portable devices on all of these models. Users can listen to music stored on A2DP Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones or laptop computers using an optional Yamaha Bluetooth wireless audio receiver. Units are also iPod-compatible using an optional Yamaha iPod dock. All the units in the line, except for the RX-V363, are also satellite radio-ready.
