Berlin-based company zplane.development is releasing vielklang, an audio harmonization instrument for generation of vocal or instrumental harmonies with up to four voices.
The company says the use of voice leading and harmony progression models allows vielklang 1.1 to create harmony parts in a more musical way and makes it a versatile tool for musicians, songwriters and producers.
Features include a two-voice harmonization mode, generating only a second voice in a typical backing vocal style; availability of seventh chords; timing humanization control; single-note splitting and muting; and export to audio and MIDI for plug-in interfaces.
Version 1.1 will be available in September for RTAS (Mac, Windows), VST (Mac OS X, Windows) and Audio Units (Mac OS X) at an MSRP of $249.
