We are featuring the products that won the Radio World Best of Show Award at the 2026 NAB Show. Winners were chosen by a panel of engineers and RW editorial staff for their innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. Information about how the program works can be found in a FAQ here.
Version 5 of (the already influential) MicroMPX delivers stronger reliability, easier integration and smarter control.
It improves handling of network interruptions when packet loss or signal issues occur, as is common on public internet or wireless links; the system recovers faster and keeps audio clean and stable.
“The result is shorter audible glitches due to packet loss and a consistently higher-quality listener experience,” the company says.
Integration also is simpler and more flexible, with support for standard RTP transport, fitting broadcast and IP workflows. “Engineers can use familiar tools to monitor performance, including packet loss, delay and jitter. This reduces setup time and makes it easier to deploy across both traditional and modern infrastructures.”
Efficiency has improved; Version 5 uses less CPU power while delivering more accurate audio performance, allowing broadcasters to run more services on the same hardware or lower infrastructure costs in virtual or cloud environments.
It also adds smarter monitoring and control, and coordination across multiple sites is easier thanks to a new standardized method for triggering top-of-the-hour station IDs.
