This series features products that won the Radio World Best of Show Award at the 2026 IBC Show. Winners were chosen for their innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.
IBC marked the Euro debut of Axia Pulsar, a new AoIP mixer in a small form factor, with eight faders expandable to 16.
Its Master Module has bright TFT IPS displays on all channels for readability. Each channel strip has a customizable color stripe to allow quick identification of input groups, as well as two user-defined function buttons that integrate with the Axia Pathfinder Core PRO broadcast control system and touch-sensitive encoders. Spill-proof 100 mm motorized faders provide position recall when used with remote control inputs, Show Profiles presets and automation systems.
The Monitor/Control section includes five more user-programmable function keys, as well as a meter section with integrated EBU R128 loudness metering.
Dual operating layers give access to all 16 selected inputs using eight faders. For those who prefer hardware access to sources, Pulsar can be expanded to 16 physical faders using an optional module, which can be joined to the Master module to create one control surface, or split to allow more desk space in front of the operator.
Pulsar supports table-top and flush-mount configurations. It is driven by the 2RU Axia StudioCore console engine, which includes the power supply, a five-port AoIP network switch, multiple analog, digital and networked I/O, and the Pulsar mixing engine, with a capacity of up to 16 stereo input channels.
Each fader has a number of audio DSP processing functions. Pulsar integrates smoothly into Livewire and AES67 facilities.
