2wcom is readying its slate of products that will be on hand at the 2017 Broadcast Asia conference, which will include FM, SAT, AoIP and DAB+ technology.
Among the products to be shown by 2wcom is the MM08E eight-channel MPEG encoder. The MM08E is designed to work with SAT or IP environments and encodes all common audio algorithms as well as RDS data. The encoder can also generate multiple streams independently. Transmission of ancillary data and switching contact information is also possible through integrated interfaces.
The FlexDSR04+ professional satellite receiver will also be demonstrated at the conference. This new model of the IRD SAT Receiver can handle transport streams via satellite, ASI input and IP, while also managing audio streams and Icecast streams via IP. It comes with audio quality and redundancy options for processing all common coding algorithms. In addition, the FlexDSR04+ detects and switches automatically to the best available signal source.
Another product to be shown is the FM2TS eight-channel gateway/transcoder, which is able to create and transcode single and multiple transport streams. The FM2TS can convert regional FM-radio programs into MPEG-2 transport streams. Radio broadcasters can stream up to eight FM channels through the system. Additional features include an SFP connection for optical fiber application, RDS data forwarding and an antenna switching matrix.
Broadcast Asia 2017 will take place from May 23–25.
