CatSnake 70005E Is From Belden

Suitable for broadcast and stage applications.

Belden is out with CatSnake 70005E, saying it gives broadcast users a Cat5e tested cable with better performance thanks to its Beldfoil technology.

That means the shield is bonded to the jacket inner wall, Belden said, for electrical stability and full coverage for improved signal transmission.

Applications include radio and TV, remote broadcasts and stage lighting.

The cable meets requirements of digital audio formats designed to run on Ethernet cables like CobraNet, EtherSound and Roland’s DigitalSnake, the manufacturer said.

The new shielded CatSnake 70005E is based on the Brilliance CatSnake 1305A unshielded Cat 5e cable. “The new cable is designed to patch Ethernet or digital A/V formats in high traffic areas in a broadcast studio or in any type of tactical field deployable A/V installation.”
