Storage specialist Glyph Production Technologies has announced availability of the PortaGig 62, portable RAID storage unit.
Powered via a FireWire 800 connection or an included brick, the wee PortaGig is available in sizes from 320 GB to 1 TB (remember when those were NASA-type numbers?), via two 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM drives.
RAID configurations available are RAID 0, RAID 1 and spanning. The PortaGig also has USB and eSATA connections. An internal fan keeps the drive cool. Glyph Manager drive/storage management software is included.
Price: 320 GB is $269; 1 TB is $309.
