NAB Sneak Peek: Acoustical Solutions Goes PolyPhon-ic

Sound absorbing panels are recyclable and formaldehyde-free

Acoustical Solutions wants to bring silence to the NAB Show.

PolyPhon acoustical panels (shown) are sound-absorbing panels developed with environmental friendliness in mind, the company says. The panels are made from 100% polyester (60% PET-recycled fiber and 40% PET-virgin fiber) and are recyclable, according to the company. It adds that PolyPhon panels are formaldehyde-, binding agent-, odor- and dust-free. PolyPhon polyester is Class 1fire-rated and more resilient than traditional fiberglass board.

PolyPhon is available in 49-inch x 97-inch panels in 1/2-inch, 1-inch and 1-1/2-inch thicknesses.

Acoustical Solutions also has another new product, Studio 54 cleanable wall panels. The line is designed to be customized to match a room’s décor. The company says Studio 54 panels reduce sound intensity and reverberation as well as the leading acoustical panel, but are wrapped in an easily cleanable acoustical fabric, available in 13 muted metallic colors. The panels are available in a variety of sizes and 1- and 2-inch thicknesses with a choice of edges. They are Class 1 fire-rated and have an NRC rating of .85–1.15.
