NAB Sneak Peek: AVT Struts Magic Stuff

Introduces the Magic Go series of telephone hybrids

AVT will showcase the new Magic TH1potsGo and Magic TH1ipGo telephone hybrids at the 2014 NAB Show.

The company highlights the one-channel systems for their simplicity, requiring no complex settings before operation and easy control during use. The Magic TH1ipGo hybrid is configured with the HD Voice option, which permits calls from HD voice-compatible telephones to be received and sent at a quality of 7 kHz.

HD Voice is available for other AVT hybrids and talk show systems as well. Magic TH2plus, Magic TH6 and Magic THipPro, for a maximum of 16 lines, complete the firm’s telephone hybrid line.

AVT Magic hybrids feature Pretalk Streaming Upgrade, which allows the transmission of the audio signal via LAN to the pretalk PC.This feature is particularly important when there are not enough audio interfaces available, or if the pretalk location is distant from the telephone hybrid, explains AVT. The voice disguise option allows users to alter the caller’s voice so that it is not identifiable — appropriate for talk shows on sensitive topics.

The company will also display its ISDN, E1 and IP audio codecs with G.711, G.722, ISO/MPEG Layer2/3, apt-X and AAC-LD coding algorithms.
