Ferncast aixtream software has been integrated into the VirtualRack application library of Broadcast Bionics.
“This means users in the radio and broadcast world can now profit from the advantages of aixtream and combine them with other radio and audio solutions with unparalleled simplicity,” the companies said in a press release.
VirtualRack is a brand-agnostic solution for containerized broadcast products that is intended to facilitate the management of a virtualized broadcast chain.
Ferncast said with this approach, users can install containerized products with a few clicks, using purpose-built management software and appliances optimized for broadcast uses.
“Users can start aixtream software, export configuration files, update application software all from the VirtualRack the management menu.” VirtualRack also includes backup and failover features.
Aixtream in VirtualRack supports Ferncast features and can integrate with other solutions via API.
The companies said the partnership supports applications such as internet streaming, VoIP communication, de/muxing, podcasting, loudness control and transcoding.
