GatesAir’s Expands Flexiva GX FM Transmitter Series

The company is adding 50-watt and 1 kW models

GatesAir is expanding its Flexiva GX FM transmitter line with two additional models at lower power levels.

The line currently consists of 5 kW and 10 kW versions; now GatesAir is adding 50-watt and 1 kW models.

“Broadcasters seeking to refresh existing analog FM infrastructure for large regional and national networks represent a key customer base,” it said.

The company highlights its power-to-size ratio. “Using the latest LDMOS technology, GatesAir has packed exceptional power density into a compact 5 RU chassis, providing broadcasters with powerful solutions that deliver overall efficiency ratings up to 76 percent.”

GatesAir is expanding its Flexiva GX FM transmitter line with two additional models at lower power levels.

It says Flexiva GX’s design is enhanced by third-generation PowerSmart high-efficiency transmitter architecture. Flexiva GX transmitters support N+1 configurations, enabling large national network operators to build flexible and consolidated transmission sites.

The transmitters provide auto-switching inputs, with dual AES (including AES192), dual composite and analog left/right audio inputs.

Options include GPS receiver to support SFN functionality, and GatesAir’s Intraplex IP Link 100e module. The latter integrates within Flexiva GX transmitters, enabling direct receipt of contributed FM content instead of requiring an external codec.

At the NAB Show GatesAir will be in Booth W2833.
