Zeno Media has released an update to its mobile app that introduces Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The ZenoRadio app’s April update allows users to browse stations by country, with additional stations and regions added, a release said.
The free iOS and Android app includes a listing of worldwide radio station streams, both terrestrial and internet-only, along with podcasts.
The company is highlighting the app’s call-to-listen functionality, which allows users to tune into stations via a phone number, suitable as a low-data alternative for listeners in bandwidth-constrained environments.
In addition to live streaming, the ZenoRadio app allows discovery across genres and regions, which includes local news and talk, as well as music and sports programming.
“For broadcasters and advertisers, the enhanced app represents a growing opportunity to reach highly engaged, global audiences at scale,” the company said.
Zeno Media provides services to audio companies including streaming, podcasting, monetization and distribution.
