SiriusXM is adding to its deals with used car retailers to offer customers a free satellite radio trial.
Customers will be eligible to receive a free three-month SiriusXM subscription when they buy a pre-owned vehicle with a factory-installed satellite radio, regardless of make or model, from participating AutoNationdealerships. AutoNation sells both new and used cars. It owns and operates 257 dealerships, which sell 32 brands across 15 states.
AutoNation CEO Mike Jackson calls the SiriusXM deal a chance to bring added value to pre-owned vehicle inventory.
In 2011, SiriusXM announced similar deals with participating GM, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen dealerships. It also announced a three-month trial offer for customers who bought a satellite radio-equipped used car, regardless of brand, from participating Nissan or Infiniti dealerships.
