V-Soft Communications has released a number of tweaks to its Probe 4 signal propagation program.
Top of the list is the capacity to handle distributed transmission systems. This is aimed at HDTV broadcasters using multiple transmitters who need to see prospective interference patterns.
For general usage however, V-Soft is drawing attention to new features not previously seen by Probe users such as a “variable look-up.” The variable look-up eases map creation/editing offering all available variables in a separate box where they can be chosen, rather than having to guess at them or try to remember them.
In other V-Soft news, the AM-Pro AM channel allocations and mapping program is now available in version 2.33.
Version 2.33 adds a “function” button which itself provides access to two new tools, a “Mass Remove” tool and a toggle to turn off “Ratchet Rule” for all protections within the study. An update to the manual concerning AM fade zone is included as well.
