Westwood One has hired Tim Sabean to fill the newly created role of senior vice president of digital content.
Based in New York, Sabean is now responsible for talent discovery, content partnership development and audience growth strategies. He reports to Cumulus Media Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Westwood One President Suzanne Grimes.
Sabean most recently served as senior vice president for SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Channels, a role he held for a decade. He also previously held the title of SVP of comedy and entertainment.
Sabean’s radio career includes managing both AM and FM rock, oldies, news/talk and sports formats. As VP of rock programming at Infinity Broadcasting, he supervised programming for WYSP(FM) in Philadelphia, WBCN(FM) in Boston, WRKZ(FM) in Pittsburgh, KUFO(FM) in Portland, Ore., KRSX(FM) in San Antonio, WAZU(FM) in Columbus, Ohio, and WXRK(FM) in New York.
Westwood One offers nationally syndicated sports, news and entertainment content across an audio network of 8,000 affiliated broadcast radio stations and media partners.
