NAB Sneak Peek: V-Soft Plots RF Hazard

Solve radio frequency hazards and quandaries

The job of working in radio often means working around radiofrequency emissions. Personnel may have no idea how much RF is “in the air.”

V-Soft has released RFHAZ 3, its latest RF hazard compliance software. This most recent version is based on the FCC’s OET #65 guidelines. It will be demonstrated at the NAB Show this spring.

Users of RFHAZ 3 will find it studies antenna arrays up to 16 bays, 50 microwatts/sq. cm. to 3,000 microwatts/sq. cm and uses antenna manufacturer-provided patterns or allows for editing of those patterns. It can also handle multiple stations and multiple arrays.
