NAB Show Grows, Reaches Spacial Milestone

NAB Show says that its show floor has expanded to over one million net square feet of exhibit space

WASHINGTON NAB Show says that its show floor has expanded to over one million net square feet of exhibit space. Out of the more than 1,700 total exhibitors, 244 companies are exhibiting for the first time. NAB Show will be held April 11-16 (exhibits open April 13-16) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“Hitting the one million mark on exhibit floor space is a testament to NAB Shows continued relevance in an age of rapid advances in technology and change for media and entertainment,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “Our growth is reflective of NAB Show’s ability to adapt and deliver fresh perspectives on the industry’s most innovative companies and cutting-edge technologies.”

As in years past, the exhibition will feature new products and technologies, interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and technology-focused pavilions.

New this year in the North Hall and Westgate Hotel will be New Media Expo, a co-located event featuring dozens of exhibitors and the industry bloggers, podcasters, Web TV content creators and social media specialists. The conference will include more than 100 educational sessions and the popular Speed Networking program. Speakers include Adam Corolla, Norm Pattiz (Westwood One Founder) and Chris Jericho (professional wrestler and media personality).

Also on the exhibit floor this year, the new Aerial Robotics and Drone Pavilion will be located in the South Upper Hall and will feature dozens of aerial robotics companies, a flying cage, demonstration area and daily sessions.

New education offerings on the floor include Post|Production Campus, presented in partnership with Future Media Concepts. This learning and networking area of the Show floor will feature 30-minute sessions, presented by certified instructors and noted editors as well as Ask the Expert stations and daily raffles.
