MAB Names 2012 Board of Directors and Officers

Michigan Association of Broadcasters heads includes leaders from across the industry

The Michigan Association of Broadcasters recently announced their Board of Directors for 2011-2012. It includes commercial and educational station personnel along with equipment manufacturers. The group made the announcement at the MAB Annual Meeting and Summer Celebration, June 27.

Several new members are involved with educational broadcast endeavors, including the new Chair, Dave Downing of Lansing Community College’s WLNZ(FM). Also of interest are new directors Don Backus of automation platform developer ENCO Systems and Kevin Scollin of famed broadcast school Specs Howard School of Media Arts in Southfield, Mich.

Director, Bob Gould, visiting broadcast instructor, Michigan State University/Executive Producer, Focal Point, East Lansing, Mich.
Director, John Johnson, Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), East Lansing, Mich.
Director, Tom Mogush, WMQT(FM)/WZAM(AM), Marquette, Mich.
Director, Kevin Scollin, Specs Howard School of Media Arts, Southfield, Mich.

The immediate past chairman of the MAB was Chris Monk of Citadel Broadcasting Co. in Saginaw/Flint, Mich.
