Fraunhofer IIS said audio processor manufacturer Orban has licensed the MPEG Surround and HE-AAC multichannel codecs for Orban’s Opticodec-PC stream encoders.
Orban VP of Product Development Greg Ogonowski cited Fraunhofer’s reputation in audio and multimedia solutions.
Also at the NAB Show, Fraunhofer said Sonnox will be offering Sonnox Fraunhofer Pro-Codec, a software plug-in for digital audio workstations that allows for encoding inMP3 and AAC codecs within the DAW.
