WDBO(AM) plans to note Jim Turner’s 35th anniversary with a party at Epcot.
The Cox news/talk outlet in central Florida airs on 580 kHz.
“Since May 28, 1972, Jim has commandeered the WDBO microphone in times of natural disasters, terrorist attacks, political debates, local controversy and more,” the station said. He earned the NAB Marconi Award in 2004 for Medium Market Personality of the Year, the only broadcaster in Florida to have won that.
