Microphone accessory company Lightwave Audio Systems has introduced a new low-cost news boom pole.
The G5 uses lightweight plastic technology. Instead of metal, screw threads, it features a triple-cam locking system that allows for a minimal 15 degrees of twist to lock/unlock the boom sections, which facilitates cleaning and reduces the risk of jamming, the company said.
As an option, Lightwave supplies the G5 with an internal coiled cable using Neutrik NC3 XLR-style connectors with gold-finished pins.
