Arbitron Pleased With Houston PPM Test so Far

Arbitron believes its early goals for the Portable People Meter test in Houston have been accomplished, including sample performance goals, in-tab representation and ethnic/language compliance. The ratings results are similar to those reached in the PPM Philadelphia test, says the audience research firm. It does note, however, the industry would need to make one-time adjustments for “radio’s greater reach and lower ratings for AM Drive” with PPM. The company will brief the industry at a session at the NAB Radio Show this Thursday.
