Radio revenue increased by 4% in April compared to the same month last year, says RAB. Local dollars for were up 2%, national up 6% for the month. Year to date, 2002 is flat for overall and local sales; national is up 2% for the year.
“Radio is in a slow, steady but strong recovery phase,” said RAB President/CEO Gary Fries. “Categories are up across the board, reflecting the growth of the business. Looking ahead, we see signs of inventory tightening and anticipate continued growth similar to April over the next few months.”
