ABC, NetRadio Top Ratings

Both Arbitron and MeasureCast released Internet radio ratings Jan. 9, with each reporting somewhat different findings.
MeasureCast, which issues both weekly and monthly rankings with demographic information, said online listening rebounded, after a dip during the holiday season, in the first week of January.
Talk radio was the dominant format in the MeasureCast report, for the week of Jan. 1, while Arbitron reports smooth jazz, classical, classic rock and contemporary hit radio were dominant in October.
New York talker WABC(AM) was the top-rated station in the MeasureCast ratings and No. 4 in Arbitron’s. ABC Radio held onto 13 of the top 25 positions for the second week in a row, MeasureCast reported.
An Internet-only broadcaster, NetRadio, held six of the top 10 positions in the Arbitron ratings. Its smooth jazz channel was No. 1, its 80’s hits channel was second and NetRadio’s “hits” channel was third.
