WorldDAB is finalizing preparation for its 2017 general assembly, which it says will bring together approximately 200 digital radio professionals.
The conference, for which the organization is still accepting registrations, will serve as a platform for discussions on the future of digital radio and DAB+ rollouts worldwide. It will also provide insight on digital radio switchover advances and DAB+’s impact on radio’s future.
Featuring speakers from both the radio and automotive sectors, sessions will specifically look at current DAB+ developments in Europe and in France, the DSO in Norway and how to get the listener to follow, DAB+’s evolving business case and the importance of consumer awareness.
“It’s an exciting time for digital radio around the world, with Norway soon to be the first to complete digital switchover, established markets going from strength to strength, new markets emerging in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, and France in particular at a crucial stage of development,” said Bernie O’Neill, project director, WorldDAB.
The organizers will hold a member-only session from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 to announce the winner of the WorldDAB Award for Outstanding Service and election results for WorldDAB president, vice president, treasurer and steering board.
The event will take place at Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel in Paris. The full program is available here.
