Dielectric Adds RF Systems/Products Manager

Also names production supervisor for new second shift

Antenna and RF system manufacturer Dielectric has hired Henry Fries and Chuck Thompson to serve as manager of RF systems/products and second shift production supervisor, respectively.

Fries most recently worked at Comark Communications. In his new role, the company says Fries will help to design and develop new RF components and assist in “improving design workflows, as well as the documentation and manufacturing of Dielectric’s standard and custom RF product lines.”

“Besides the immediate focus on the spectrum repack, one of my challenges in this new role will be to explore opportunities that could strengthen demand for Dielectric’s high-power RF systems beyond its traditional broadcast base, including such vertical markets as scientific and industrial applications,” Fries said in the release.

Thompson has held positions at Noranda Aluminum and Donaldson Company. He is now tasked with overseeing Dielectric’s new second shift, which was inaugurated July 23. He also was responsible for interviewing, hiring and overseeing the training of new workers, according to the announcement.

Dielectric LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group.
